North Lancing Primary School is lucky to have its own outside, heated swimming pool. The pool is 1m in depth and is 15m x 7m in size. Pupils have swimming lessons in Autumn Term 1 and Summer Term 2. All pupils have an hour of taught swimming each week during these times. For younger pupils, this is split into two half hour sessions.
All pupils leave Year 6 being able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over at least 25m. All pupils leave being able to use a range of strokes effectively and can perform safe self-rescue in a variety of water-based situations.
