What is the PTA?

PTA stands for Parents, Teachers Association. Any parent or carer is automatically a member and welcome to help in any way they can. The PTA have their own website. It can be found here:

What does the PTA do?

Our PTA plays an important role in bringing our school community together. Throughout the year, the PTA organises a range of fun events and activities for families, including discos, Easter egg hunts, the Summer Fayre and Christmas workshops. There are also opportunities for adults to get together at events such as quiz nights and social evenings.

As well as creating opportunities for our school community to have fun and socialise, these events help to raise valuable funds for the school. The money raised enables the PTA to provide additional resources, experiences and opportunities for our pupils.

How can I get involved?

The PTA relies on the support of our parents and carers, and there are lots of different ways you can get involved.

Everyone is welcome to attend PTA meetings, share ideas and have a say in what we do. We also need volunteers to help at events, whether that is running a stall at a disco or coffee afternoon, making posters, wrapping tombola prizes, baking cakes, selling raffle tickets or helping behind the scenes.

There really is a job for everyone, whatever your skills and however much time you are able to give. Even a small contribution can make a big difference.

Getting involved with the PTA is also a lovely way to meet other parents and carers, become part of the school community and support your child’s school. And who knows – you might even enjoy it!

What did the PTA provide last year?

Thanks to the fantastic support of our school community, the PTA helped to provide a range of additional events and experiences last year, including:

  • Santa’s Grotto
  • Lantern Trail
  • Christmas Workshops
  • Silent Discos
  • Inflatables Day
  • Break the Rules Days
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Summer Fayre

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who volunteers, attends events, donates and supports the PTA. Your contribution helps make these opportunities possible for our children.

Pre-loved Uniform

The PTA also runs our Pre-loved Uniform service, helping families to access good-quality school uniform at a lower cost while giving unwanted uniform a new lease of life.

If you have clean, good-quality school uniform that your child has outgrown, please consider donating it to the PTA. Equally, if you are looking for uniform, our pre-loved service is a great place to start.
