What is the PTA?
PTA stands for Parents, Teachers Association. Any parent or carer is automatically a member and welcome to help in any way they can. The PTA have their own website. It can be found here:
What does the PTA do?
We organise events throughout the year such as discos, Easter egg hunts, the summer fayre and Christmas workshops for all the family along with quiz nights and social evenings for adults. The aim is to have fun and socialise while raising money for the school.
How can I be involved?
The PTA only exists with the support of parents and you can help in a number of ways. Anyone is welcome to attend meetings and have a say in what we do. Parents are also needed to help on stalls at discos, coffee afternoons etc. or to make posters, wrap tombola prizes, bake cakes, fold raffle tickets…
there really is a job for everyone, no matter how much or little time you can spare!
It’s a great way to meet other parents and become involved with your child’s school, and you never know you might even enjoy it!
